Ball Training
Balls and Proprioception
In saddle and in warm up I will use Franklin Balls in several ways (in conjunction with imagery) to up-regulate the body proprioception. Proprioception can be most simply described as the sense of movement and body position. Improving the proprioception can result in:
- Less tension
- Better posture
- Increased flexibility
- More efficient and coordinated movement production
By using the ball, we are bringing more input into the sensory organs of the body.
We call this the Art of Change (E.P.I.C.)
Experience, Plan, Implement, Compare
Other tools used will be hand items such as Equisk gloves and squishy toys along with Equisk Bands.
